Connections in Death by J.D. Robb

4.0

Reading an IN DEATH book is like visiting with old friends that you only see once or twice a year... you go about your life the rest of the year but when you get together you lose yourselves in each other catching up. That's exactly what happened with this one. Once I started reading I kept going until it was done.

Most book storylines grow old quickly and yet the author still keeps cranking them out (I'm looking at you Stephanie Plum) but this is not the case for me with the Eve and Roarke. JD Robb has a way of keeping this series fresh and not tiresome.

In this one, we don't get the gruesome go for broke death scenarios like in some (ie, Leverage in Death) but we get a strong police procedural with some old friends thrown in for good measure. I love that JD Robb brought in Crack with a new girlfriend. He's always been a favorite of mine but doesn't get much page time.

If you love the series or even just like it, you will definitely enjoy this one.
