This is a children's book. Prue is shocked when a HUGE murder of crows flies off with her baby brother in to the Impassable Woods. No-one goes there! Not even developers. However, she rushes in with her classmate, Curtis, following her. There she comes upon a different world separated into different factions where animals speak and live and work among the humans. However, there is war brewing and many of the 4 sections of the wood are fighting. Which one is responsible for taking her brother? What does the kidnapper want with her baby brother? A story with a lot of twists and turns as the kids learn who or who is not to be trusted. It is an engaging read.
