I had read this book in middle school and had only vaguely remembered the premise and as I kept reading realized that I don't think I ever finished it. The concept of this book is pretty weird and probably not for everyone but I really enjoyed it. The last three chapters sold it for me and the cliffhangers have me on a hunt for the second book.
