Obviously strongly inspired by Atlas Shrugged but even less pleasant to read. The main character appears to be a self-insert of the author while still appearing wholly unlikable. The author compensates by writing the antagonists as morally corrupt charicatures (not unlike Rand did in Atlas Shrugged).
The story supposedly features a philosophical conflict between the protagonist as "champion" of transhumanism and the antagonists. Unfortunately, while the book states that the protagonist has convincing arguments, the author neglected to even hint at what they are supposed to be.
I read this book years ago while being interested in transhumanism an was very disappointed.
