If you are reading this after finishing book one and are doubting if you should continue: the story and its pace get better.
I gave book two a shot after being so-so about book one and was glad I continued with the story. Whereas I was not happy with the pace in book one, this book really saved it. From book two on I flew through the remaining two books and am now awaiting book five.
These are not the best, most complex books, but boy they sure are entertaining. Mostly in the way trashy reality tv is also entertaining.
