Magic Breaks
by Ilona Andrews
When an author has a note at the very beginning of the book with the head's up that this book was not the end of the series... you know that some -ish is gonna go down.
One of the biggest strength of Ilona Andrews' writing is the character growth across series and that is especially highlighted here.
This is one of my favorites in the series. Kate learns more about her family history and gets a new sword. We also learn more about Ghastek, one of the Masters of the Dead who pilot vampires.
