I personally find it hard to read books in first person perspective, but after adjusting it became easier to read. The writing was well crafted and almost poetic at times.
The characters are full of complex motivations, and the setting is not something I read a lot on, but found enjoyable.
While there is action and adventure throughout the book, it was pretty packed towards the end which I found personally a bit jarring, but after sitting on it for a day or so, I'll admit it left me wanting more.
I'm looking forward to reading the sequel now the consequences and motivations are more dire.
