Shadow of Night by Deborah Harkness
3.75
adventurous challenging dark mysterious tense slow-paced

This book - Shadow of Night -  is where that scene where the other witches were helping Diana discover her witch power. Which brought my interest with the Discovery of Witches books. I still havent watched any of the episodes of the series though, but will definitely look into it in the future.
It's so amazing that this book brings you to that Old English premise where castles, horses, and the kings and queens are in power. But with a twist, where vampires, demons, and witches are also living, which funnily contributed to the technology, politics, and literature - that people are benefiting and enjoying at the present.
I enjoyed it somehow, though it took me a while to finish the book. I wish there could be a lot of action at the beginning of the book, though i was rewarded that very much towards the end.
