This duology has me on a chokehold. Seriously, I loved Heartless Hunter and I thought there was no way KC would top that book but omg The Rebel Witch is so good I can't stop thinking about it. This is the kind of enemies to lovers story that I like. The push and pull, the tension, the chemistry, and the banter was top notch. There were times where I want to strangle both Gideon and Rune because of how stubborn they are but gosh the payoff in the end was so good. And the yearning between Rune and Gideon? AMAZING! I also love how human and vulnerable KC portrayed Rune in this story. Her desire to just forget and move on with her life was understandable with all that has happened to her in the past. I love the twist and the revelations in the end. Definitely one of my top reads this year.
