I wish this hit the way I wanted it to. Like, don't get me wrong. I stayed up from 10PM to 4AM to read it because I just had to know how it all played out. But I don't know what it was that maybe just... eh, about this book.

I loved Fitz and Summer. I love a, "she drives him crazy but he is obsessed with her because she drives him crazy." Her struggles with her learning disorder were refreshing to read about, as well as seeing Summer grow and not put herself down and be mean to herself because she learns differently. Also, seeing Fitz learn to open up and not be so guarded with his emotions around Summer was very sweet!

But maybe it was the college drama that just soured the thing for me. I know -- I'm reading a book about college students. College students do stupid things -- like lust after one roommate knowing your OTHER roommate has a thing for you. I felt so bad for Hunter! But also... how could he NOT TELL SUMMER AND FITZ WERE INTO EACH OTHER?!?! But the pettiness of the back and forth between Summer and Fitz, Fitz and Hunter, and Summer and Nora got frustrating. It's where I realize if the characters just talked to one another, most of their issues would be resolved. But they don't. And then issues occur. And it's a frustrating kind of drama.

But I enjoyed the romance and the spice, and I the end I was really rooting for Summer and Fitz. And I can't wait to see them pop up in the next novels in this series.
