Malibu Rising
by Taylor Jenkins Reid
Such a delightful book about breaking generational trauma and what it truly means to give your kids better than what you had growing up. Perhaps it’s not about providing them with fame/fortune/a house in Malibu, but just being present for them when they need you the most.
I loved that this book started with a metaphor (wildfires spreading in callfornia) and then comes back full circle in the end with a cute little metaphor about starting over. I feel like I can trust TJR with anything she writes at this point.
