This twist on the classic tale of sleeping beauty was very intriguing. The main character is a complete badass being the only girl on the Royal guard. Only thing that bothered me was Jade and Asher's insta love. Other than that the world described was very vivid and the writing flowed well. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a novel that has the elements of a fairy-tale added to a "modern world". I look forward to reading the next instalment to see how the story progresses.
