Collen Hoover did it again and wrote a heart wrenching and beautiful story. Broke me into little pieces especially when we find out about why Miles didn't want to be asked about his past. Don't even get me started on Tate's and Miles chemistry and sexual tension. Ugh this book was just O M G.
Once we find out why Miles is the way he is, it just breaks your heart. I can see why he never wanted to feel love or loved again. It was the Fear of having to go through the ugliest side of love all over again. Just like cap says, "I suppose if a man loved through the ugliest side of love, he might never want to experience it again."
Spoiler
I really felt bad for Tate during the book because she thought she can change Miles especially because he kept giving her mixed signals, which really was not fair for her. He was leading her on but then he would pull himself out of it and go back to the stone cold heartless guy who just wanted sex. I just hated it for Tate she really did deserve to be loved but I understand why Miles couldn't allow himself to feel the love he felt for her. Then Tate comes up with her one rule for Miles, "Don't give me false hope for a future. Especially if you know in your heart we'll never have one."Once we find out why Miles is the way he is, it just breaks your heart. I can see why he never wanted to feel love or loved again.
