The End of the Story by Lydia Davis

3.0

I really appreciated this as a musing on writing and memory, and I always love Davis' style and observations. And though the novel was ultimately intentionally not about the story but about the crafting of the story, I'm not sure it worked as a novel. It felt like a tapestry of short writings on the same subject, and you may be asking yourself if that necessarily means it isn't a novel, and I don't know for sure, but I suspect my answer is yes, that means it isn't really a novel.
