Emily Henry's books do for me as an adult what Sarah Dessen did for me as a teen. Summer romance just dying to be cracked open by the pool or the beach! I love that again her book does some meta talk about books and love of reading AND that she wrote another love letter to Michigan. I like that there is also an element of seriousness and growth to the characters that let's you care about them while also feeling light it's still mostly a light read you can gobble up. I also liked that although the conflict appeared in the formulaic place, it didn't feel too silly or staged or obviously solvable. Another win for me!
