A Hidden History of the Tower of London: England's Most Notorious Prisoners by John Paul Davis

slow-paced

1.5

The format of this book
Is horrible. It is organized in chronological order which is fine. But there is no hidden his Tory here. It is literally every single event and person that came on and out of the tower. It was too many names. It jumped back and forth too much. It never stuck with just one story line. I understand it is supposed to be educational as it is non-fiction. However, no one could ever retain the information in this book. Half the time had had to reread things and still got lost because of the amount of information that was dumped. No reminders of what had been spoken about the draw connections to future points. There was no cutting of information. When something has so much history you have to be willing to edit down information, due to the title I thought it would have been just the least known history.
