The Ice Beneath Her by Camilla Grebe

5.0

Wow wow wow. This book was amazing. I was a little unsure at the beginning if any of the stories being told were relevant to the story. It really came together so well and Emma is such a compelling character. I really saw a lot of parallels with Eleanor Oliphant and Emma. I really loved how we got to see things from Emma’s perspective and how that tied into the case being investigated. I think at the beginning, I thought what Emma experiences is real, but then I started to question it. Then the whole story is revealed and it just blew me away. I really loved how well developed Emma’s character is. I loved the side story with Peter and Hanna, even the parts about Hanne’s dementia and her relationship with Owe were so interesting.

This is the best crime/thriller I have read so far. Perfect
