Wow wow wow, this is one of those (audio)books that I truly didn’t check to see how far I was and when I did happen to see a percentage I was disappointed that I only had X hours left. One of those books that I very well might just start back at the beginning when it’s done and revisit the infinite layers of wisdom it contains. I think Oliver Burkeman’s writing is the best kind of self-help genre; a style that synthesizes vast amounts of wisdom from philosophy, spirituality, psychology, etc and presents it in simple and relatable storytelling with a clear sense that the author is in the universal human struggle with you. Like having a deep meaning of life chat with a dear friend who shares great ideas yet also gives you the space to figure out what it means to you. The book title was recommended to me at a fitting time, though I can imagine it might not be the right time for everyone to pick up a book about facing mortality and radical acceptance of many aspects of human lifetimes. So definitely consider that before diving in! For me personally it’s a book that will be in the ranks of books that changed my perspective about life
