The Reincarnated Prince and the Kingdom in Woe (The Epic Tale of the Reincarnated Prince Herscherik, vol. 1)
by Arico, Nobiru Kusunoki, 楠のびる, Adam Seacord
Nerdy office worker Ryoko Hayakawa dies in a car crash and awakes to find herself in the body of an infant prince, able to see the corruption around him but powerless to stop it.
This is the first light novel I've read that actually really clicked with me! It's fast-paced tropey court intrigue with a protagonist against convincingly overwhelming odds that's perfect for a "light" read, just like the format promises. Definitely picking up the next volumes.
