This book has been my favourite of the series so far as it covers Troy, Cheese Rolling and Agincourt.

I have watched, listened to and read a fair bit about the Trojan Wars, so I was fascinated to see how it would be covered here. The clash between Hector and Achilles was disappointing, the myth of the Trojan Horse was inspired, but it was the fall of Troy which was phenomenal, giving the perspective from the civilian point of view and brought home the horror of such a conflict.  There is also a scene in the temple where Kasandra speaks to Max which sent chills down my spine.

The Cheese Rolling adventure was hilarious and inspired and a much-needed lighthearted segue between events.

As an Archer, I have read about, and discussed,  the events of Agincourt with fellow Archers over the years so again it was fascinating to see how the events were described here, which again was superbly done, giving a real feel for the brutality of the battle. This also led to an ending which I was not expecting and which was emotionally powerful.
