Pyramids by Terry Pratchett
3.0

Overall: So far, my least favorite of Mr. Pratchett’s beloved books. An assassin inherits a kingdom which is stuck in the past. Fun plot. And the Discworld twist is unique.

Style: Comedic Adventure Fantasy

Plot: Oddly paced but entertaining

Characters: All of them are unique and easily recognized. The only repeat character is Death, who really only gets a cameo. The rest of the character's are (so far) only one off for this novel. Not that that is bad, but I do love many of the repeated players from the other Discworld stories.

Things I really liked: I love Discworld as a setting. I love Terry Pratchett’s voice, his comedic timing is spot on. The mathematical jokes amused me as I was reading this book at the same time as I was reading a history of Calculus book.

Things I did not like: The pacing felt off. I didn’t find myself caring as much about the character's and therefore ended up putting the book down for almost 2 months while I read something else.
