Womb City by Tlotlo Tsamaase

Did not finish book. Stopped at 91%.
There is such beautiful prose here! And the concept itself is super interesting, ripe with possibilities for greater discussion of disability, gender, class, power structures, etc. (Discussions that the book sometimes has too much of and sometimes not enough of.)

My main issue is that it’s trying to do so much (too much?) and it’s SO complicated. From the beginning, I could not follow all the logistics of body hopping and life spans and cycles and who can remember what and who can’t. I stopped trying to figure it out and track out, but then a similar issue comes up as all the twists and reveals start coming out. I’m tired and this book is long and I’m so sorry I didn’t enjoy it as much as I hoped I would.
