If Only You by Chloe Liese

Did not finish book. Stopped at 70%.
i know this book was supposed to feel like healthy communication but all i got from it was the vibe i was constantly either being scolded on how i should act or inside a therapy session.
i read to remove myself from reality, and this book did not deliver that at all.
i didn’t finish it because it felt like the characters and the plot went nowhere. even though they change a little, the main characters keep always talking in the same way. it was a weird experience.
the spicy stuff felt like highschool-grade quality.
it just didn’t deliver what i was expecting. the representation was nice to see, but the whole book felt exhausting.
also, why the hell were there so many pages dedicated to her family that felt SO unnecessary? i swear i skimmed through almost half of this story.
not compelling enough. yet another underwhelming recommendation from booktok.
