This was so very hard to put down. At every step Addy takes, new and strange things keep taking hold of her (sometimes literally). As she goes deeper and deeper down the hill and into a cave, you realize the real horror is not what she's currently experiencing but her life flashing before her eyes (and ears) and wondering if it will all be worth it to get out.

I can empathize with Addy so much. I've often felt the same way, experienced the same pain of being talked over and reduced to shadows. So, having Addy just keep going and fighting despite her fear and the nagging feeling that she's not enough, was powerful to me.
