I read this for a book club and if it wasn't a book club read I think I would have DNF'd it. It really took til about 40% into the book for me to really get into it which is too long for me.
However, once I got to that point. The book was something I could not put down. The world building was interesting and I liked the overall plot. However, I was disappointed that a book centered on women, their bonds with one another and a huge society dedicated to them had such rampant sexism in the world. It's just not my cup of tea.
There's really only two characters I ended up liking, the rest I wanted to strangle. I think Reed and Aster's relationship was very sweet and I wish we got to see more moments of that.
