Kaplan's got a great knack for quirky dialogue, and I chuckled at several of the witticism-laced conversations in this book. She's also got a solid handle on the physical aspects of a romantic relationship (by which, yes, I mean the sex scenes). Her handle on the emotional aspects, however, is rather less sure. Wendy and Janet's is very much a "lust at first sight" kind of thing, with both of them ready to jump each others bones before they've had more than a conversation or two.
