danlang 's review for:
Under the Never Sky
by Veronica Rossi
Surprisingly enjoyable after a slow start
Initially, I felt like this book was trying too hard to create the sort of dystopian world it seemed to be going for. The futuristic slang and the virtual worlds (realms) seemed a bit cliché, and I wasn't terribly impressed.
That being said, I eventually grew to care enough about the characters that I want to know what happens to them. It's not a perfect book, and I'm sure it won't be a perfect series, but I do find the story engaging. At least enough that I'll be reading the sequel.
