as someone who loves mysteries & thriller, this book didn’t really give me a “wow” effect but it was a nice fast-paced read.  one of the twists that actually caught me off guard was the revelation where sam was in fact tina stone pretending to be samantha boyd. this book was a page turner because i truly wanted to know who actually did the killings. i was all hyped to get to the end for the final revelation, the true killer. however, that last “twist” — although i admit that i didn’t see it coming — wasn’t really a “holy crap” moment for me. i guess it’s because i expected something crazier and more. coop’s reasoning on the killings felt kinda out of nowhere, suddenly it was like “yea im actually sick and i like to kill people”. there were no subtle hints in the book about his “sickness” (i know he said he tried to control himself but still there should be at least be a slight hint ya know…). we didn’t get much of him in the book but suddenly he’s this and that kind of person and the end. also, off topic, coop reminds me of joe from “you” lmao (iykyk)
