in hindsight, i probably shouldn’t have started this. i’ve never been a fan of the author’s writing style: it’s always come off very juvenile to me, and her characters always seem so.. immature/absurd and 1-dimensional. i was so hoping this book would be an outlier to that- but [spoiler alert] it wasn’t.
