The Art of Forgetting by Camille Pagán

1.0

This was the first Camille Pagan book I couldn’t get into. It read like the very freshman debut novel it was. I couldn’t stand the tone of the girls, as others mentioned it is very Mean Girls and quite honestly it brought back some awful memories for me of an incredibly toxic friendship I had during the ages of 12-23. I always enjoy the Ann Arbor references in Pagan’s books, but I decided that I had to just call it quits on this one after skimming my way through half of it. I much prefer her other works, most notably, Life and Other Near Death Experiences.
