Obviously this is very well researched - obsessively so. I feel terrible for Ms. McNamara's daughter and those who lost her. She started really important work here, and it's unbelievable that the case was solved only 2 years after her death. I think the memoir portions didn't work as well for me. I thought her writing style was journalistic and solid, but I didn't necessarily find the book gripping. Also, separately, I thought that Ms. Flynn's introduction seemed like she kind of just skimmed the book 2 hours before her draft was due. I think my biggest feeling supporting that was because two main facts that Ms. Flynn included happen right in Ms. McNamara's introduction. Felt a little repetitive. I'm glad that I read this; I don't think I need to visit it again. But I'm glad that it exists.
