I wanted this to be good and it’s a cute enough story with some interesting cultural references but the writing was just so laughably bad in parts and the sheer amount of tropes used without really making them all work together is nearly unbelievable. Every character felt either one note or like a caricature. It was fun enough for a beach read but that’s about it
