Neuromancer by William Gibson

The first time I tried to read this, I stopped not too far in. I couldn't get my mind in the right playing field for it. About a week later I gave it a go and fell in love with it. It then became hard to put down.

I had a fun time with the concept of this book. It paints a not so distant future, black market, cyberspace playing field in which technology meshed with humans is a common sight. I got a really good feel of life in the world by the way people expressed themselves.

I did enjoy the story quite a bit, if only because you've really got to follow in order to find the endgame. The characters tend to be interesting. By the end of it, you get the sense that you really were there for a part of it but that's all. Gives me kind of the same feeling I get with meeting someone on the street, striking up a conversation and then going your separate ways from then on. It has a definite in the moment feeling as opposed to a overall story and is a small tryst in science fiction.

I do think I'd read it again.
