The Antiracist Kid: A Book About Identity, Justice, and Activism by Tiffany Jewell, Nicole Miles

ARC NetGalley.com -- ANTIRACIST KID contains clear definitions and terms, useful historical events/timelines, and helpful resources, along with assistive chapter summaries and questions for reflection and discussion. The inclusion of how to connect patterns/behaviors, confronting stereotypes, invitations to somatic and mindfulness reflections, as well as how to repair with self and others, are not only considerate, but woven deeply throughout the text. The tone of the text is both realistic and encouraging/hopeful and the illustrations are inviting and helpful in illuminating the words.
