In Cold Blood by Truman Capote

I found this text interesting as one of the origins of modern true crime writing. That said, I found it very slow and at times tedious. 
The characters and setting were well established though and Capote succeeded in making me feel empathy for one of the killers, something I would not have thought possible at the beginning.
