Hush, Hush
by Becca Fitzpatrick
LOVE. LOVE. LOVE.
I know this book has accumulated a lot of haters because it's often compared to Twilight (which has become a sort of archetype for YA paranormal romances), but I can honestly say that Hush, Hush is sooo much better.
When it comes to what he wants--aka Nora--Patch is straight forward and unafraid in openly pursing it. Nora is a strong heroine, who is smart and isn't afraid to confront Patch. They also had great chemistry and banter, and one of my favorite quotes that I think really exemplifies this is:
"It's called a shower." I was staring straight ahead. When he didn't answer, I turned sideways. "Soap. Shampoo. Hot water."
"Naked. I know the drill."
I absolutely love this entire series, the characters, the storyline and recommend it wholeheartedly.

Update 7/15/17:
This series is probably the series/books that I've reread the most. I'd also be comfortable admitting that these books are my go-to when I'm feeling slumpish or simply when I want to revisit some of my favorite characters in my favorite story. This is the highest form of praise I can give, and I do hope you read them if you haven't already!
My Patch, the sarcastic but protective fallen angel who has fallen yet again...
