This was a quick, easy read. There's some standard tropes here like

the third act breakup

that aren't my favorite, but it didn't ruin it for me. I liked the characters, although they didn't quite feel fully fleshed out. I'm not sure why, but I was left feeling a little unsatisfied. The book just felt a little flat.
