Definitely my favorite of the series, for so many reasons. Better chemistry. A lack of one of the characters being significantly older- I don't MIND age gap stories, but in the other books there was a lot of whining about how one was older and taking advantage even though he wasn't, so that got irritating and I'm glad it's not an element here. Demisexual representation is pretty cool. I also love how both of these guys have had previous relationships and no ex is the bad guy- though I'll admit that Annabeth Albert in general seems to be pretty good about not demonizing people from past relationships, which tends to happen in a lot of mlm fiction, especially if the ex is a woman. They didn't always communicate super well 100% of the time, but it wasn't to the point where it was annoying or went on for way too long.
