Violeta by Isabel Allende

4.0

What a beautiful story & when I first started reading it I thought it would be a boring fake biography and then it started to get interesting.
Violeta had multiple high and low moments in her life and although I did find her slightly annoying in her youth she quickly matured and became ever more exciting.
There was so much historical heritage in this touching memoir. As well as reading Violeta and her family's life I thoroughly enjoyed reading the history, the social and economic changes that took place right up to modern dav!
This is a book I'd wholeheartedly recommend to all women'
