So. The blurb made this book sound really interesting. Mute war veteran and his way to relationship and healing. But reality… was a bit underwhelming. I liked the plot, even if story seemed to be a bit hasty. Characters was a bit too black and white. Emotions lacked depth. And the mistakes. I can understand and forgive chef’s coat mysteriously changing color from black to white in a span of 10 minutes (maybe). But this. This:
“The x-rays showed no muscle damage.”
Like. How. X-rays can’t show muscle damage. At all. Even if it’s there
