I liked this book. Don’t get me wrong- the tropes are out of control in this book. The blatant leaping over cavernous plot holes and half-assing the multitude of plot points really does this book in.
Take this with a grain of salt, perhaps, because I still love the author and am now honorbound to read the rest of the trilogy. It’s a fluff read and if you just go with that, you’ll make it through.
