“Life was like being dragged through concrete in circles, wet and setting concrete that dried with each rotation of my unwilling body.”

This is one of those books that leave a lasting impact on you. I know I will wake up on a random Tuesday 5 years from now and say “damn, that book was amazing”.

Whilst reading this book hurt, I also feel like it was such a beautiful story. A story of self discovery, understanding and grief. Emezi takes you on a journey that challenges the way you view life and people but they do it with such beautiful prose and storytelling.

This is a must read and a definite ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ from me
