Silas Marner by George Eliot
4.0

Accused of crimes he did not commit and outcast from general society, Silas Marner tells the story of a man who grows bitter and resentful and turns to finding his happiness from money and secludes himself from the community.

The story focuses on the characters rather than the plot, which can lead to it feeling very slow at times.

Overall, a wholesome story and a pleasant read that focuses on the characters and the story simply follows along.
