Octavia E. Butler is a masterful writer. The Earthseed duology contains two of the best books I've ever read. This book belongs in that list as well. Her characters and the way they behave seem so real. This is not an easy read tho, none of her books are, but I implore you to do so anyway. The things that happen in this book have really happened after all.. just without the time travelling element.
