I think I just need to finally admit I don’t love how Ashley Herring Blake writes…. But at the same time I feel invested in her characters so I read them all anyways?? This was another perfectly fine sapphic romance! I enjoyed the Hollywood twist that helped give this book more intrigue than the usual small town antics. I do feel like there’s a noticeable increase in the writing quality from IKDD to DORR, but maybe that’s just due to growing tired of the same characters by book 3 of that series as opposed to starting fresh here.
Once again I feel invested in the next character to get a book, April Evans, so I’ll likely read the next book in this series. The preview of it at the end of this one seems interesting, and I’m intrigued to learn about Daphne. I’ll always enjoy reading and supporting stories about sapphic love! ❤️
