All the Fiends of Hell by Adam L.G. Nevill
3.5

Wow! I really liked this book. It’s been a while since I’ve come across a horror of this scale, with an apocalyptic event kicking things off. The world being reduced to only the most vulnerable; the sick, the young, the elderly, and being hunted by featureless violent things is such a terrifying setting. This coupled with the perfect horror protagonist in useless, cowardly, indecisive Karl had me constantly stressed.

Unfortunately though I can’t rate it much higher as there is so. much. repetition. in this book. The description of the sky, the description of the creatures, the hiding scenarios, it got pretty tedious. Take a shot for every instance a different shade of red is used and you will not survive long.

Overall though I would still recommend this, and I will definitely be reading more of this author.
