The first time I heard that It Ends With Us would have a sequel, I was hesitant and thought that this sequel was so unnecessary. I agree that Lily and Atlas deserved their happy ending, but I like the ending IEWU. It let me imagine my version of happily ever after of them.
But I’m glad that I picked up this book. It Strats With Us was so satisfying to read. I recommended reading this book if you wanted more of Lilly&Atlas. But, the book wasn’t just focused on loving relationships between them. It’s also about child abandonment and abuse, and domestic abuse. So beware, The book wasn’t 100% fluffy like we thought it would be.
And, if you are already annoyed with Ryle in the first book, I think your feeling for him will escalate to wanting to smack him like crazy. Honestly, why in this book, that guy didn't drag his ass to therapy confused me. He really needed the help. Thank God, in the end, he at least did the right thing. If not, I will start a petition to Colleen Hoover to write another book full of Ryle going to the therapist.
