Despite foreshadowing (red herrings, I suppose) to the contrary, not a whole lot happens in this. Fran's carnival family shows up, she gets married to Johnny, and that's all she wrote. The final line of the story was pretty charming though.
Anyway, this story was fine. It was a story that needed to be written if we're going to get the full story of Fran and John Healy, but I did spend most of the story wondering when the shoe would drop.
