fucking hated this book so much. the first 90% of the book is boring and uneventful. by the time it finally actually says something it’s some weird pessimistic perspective about how nothing matters, atheists are all unfeeling, and death doesn’t mean anything. none of the characters were likable one bit. it’s boring, it’s lame, the writing was awful and nondescript. the only reason it gets a half of a star is because i think the question posed about the impact like ability has on a trial is interesting. it would be more interesting if it was ambiguous to the reader whether or not he was guilty but the author didn’t do that so a waste imo. if you enjoyed it……get friends.
