The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks by Rebecca Skloot

3.0

The science nerd in me loved the history and explanation of where HeLa cells originated and their purpose. The realist in me was annoyed at the lengthy explanations of why the family felt they deserved compensation. Over and over again. It was a little too much and ruined the story line for me a little bit considering the procedures at the time were not breaking laws but standard practice.
